The sides of the gratin dishes are slanted outward to expose a wider top surface, which creates more of the crisp or browned topping that is the ideal finishing touch to gratin dishes. Suitable for use under the broiler. The 10 x 6 1/4 inch oval-eared gratin will hold smaller gratin recipes (to serve 3 or 4) and is the right size and shape for asparagus and other side dishes.
